It’s Monday morning and I decided to try and add some Linux Ubuntu visual excitement to your day to help kick off the week. We normally don’t write this kind of post around here, but hey… it’s Monday!
I’ve had these images saved in my wallpaper folder for some time now, and after changing my desktop today I thought I would upload them all and host them for anyone hunting down quality Linux Ubuntu Wallpaper.
I’ve posted each thumbnail preview here, but you can click the image or the text link in the description to get the full size graphic. The graphics are in all difference sizes, so you might have to edit them to fit your resolution.
Enjoy!
Nothing like giving Microsoft the jab with a little ubuntu love, right? This wallpaper has a dark theme with the ubuntu logo in the lower right corner. I used this one for a few months and loved every minute of it.
Not really sure what the image is supposed to be. Could it be a crown? I mean… we all know ubuntu is the king of open source OS, right? Maybe that was the intention here. Either way it’s pretty cool looking…
Linux ubuntu IS for everyone. In fact, I never once considered switching to Linux before I found ubuntu. Now that I’m on ubuntu… I’ll never go back. Anyway, this is a nice ubuntu wallpaper with a sexy finish.
I’m quite partisan to the idea of “fresh ubuntu”, especially since my company is called “Fresh Vision Media, LLC”. I LOVE the word fresh, and Linux ubuntu is indeed a fresh breath of air for me. This is a simple, yet fun wallpaper.
I have to admit I’m not a big fan of this one, but a friend of mine was using it and liked it, so I figured it could fit here. It’s a simple blue themed ubuntu wallpaper with a little bit of wavy elegance. Cool shadow at the bottom…
Linux ubuntu gets better and better as time goes by. With the exception of the latest version (killed my sound), every version has brought on more user friendliness and stability. Plus, you can run ubuntu on virtually any machine. Awesome!
I’m by no means a Barack Obama fan, but this wallpaper had me intrigued. The creativity of the ubuntu community never ceases to amaze. Clearly this wallpaper is testimony to this.
This one is for the tribal design fans. It has a smooth light brown color and tribal style tentacles reaching throughout the image. This would probably blend well with the default ubuntu theme. Basic, but nice.
Yes, panic is a normal emotion with pretty much any Microsoft product. ESPECIALLY windows. While ubuntu may have its frustrations, you never have to worry about security related panic. And you’ll always have a super fast running system.
This theme is kind of old school I guess you could say. It uses all of the original colors and avoids the flashy 2.0 feel of a lot of the other wallpaper images. But some may dig the old look and feel… so here it is.
Like #10, this wallpaper uses a lot of the old school look and feel. The font is nothing spectacular, but might be suitable for those who appreciate simplicity. And of course… the sphere is pretty cool.
Yeah… I’m a nerd. And yes… I like nerdy star travel type stuff. Which is why I kind of dig this warpy looking ubuntu wallpaper. It’s not state of the art by any means, but it has a cool look and feel when installed as the desktop background.
With regards to tribal ubuntu wallpapers, I like this one MUCH better than the one listed further up the list. This one has a much fresher, glossy jello look and I find that much more attractive. If you’re into tribal themes, this one is for you.
By far one of my favorite ubuntu wallpapers. Ubuntu sand is clean, crisp, fresh, and visually appealing to pretty much anyone and everyone. I LOVE this one and highly recommend you view the full version.
Another one of my favorite linux wallpapers here… This one is specifically geared towards ubuntu, but I think it deserves to be listed here. Open source world is a great concept, and hopefully this image helps promote it.
Another ode to the open source world concept. “be free” is a simple ubuntu wallpaper that is more about message rather than high end graphics. I love to be reminded of the blessedness of ubuntu running my laptop, and this background does just that.
For the fans of blue themed ubuntu wallpapers, this one is right up there with the top designs. It’s a very clean blue design, and it’s vibe is quite peaceful… just like ubuntu itself. Grab it for your desktop and enjoy life.
This is the ubuntu wallpaper that I’m currently using on my laptop. I listen to a LOT of di.fm, so I like to be reminded of both good electronic music and the fact that my system is Microsoft free. This does both.
Ubuntu clear is a classic ubuntu wallpaper used by thousands of people all over the world. You’ll probably find this one in any search you do for ubuntu wallpaper, so I decided to include it here as I think it’s quite worthy.
Beautiful… need I say more? Seriously though, this is a superb design and one that will instantly transform your ubuntu powered desktop into a place of linux nirvana. I used this one for a few months and miss it.
By the way… I put a LOT of work into this post. If you like what you see, please click the buttons below to Stumble and Digg it. Thanks!!!
