You gotta love Twitter… even when it’s down

TwitterNow that Twitter is down I’m finally coming to grips with the fact that I’m hooked. And it only took me four days to become completely addicted. Let me explain.

Until last Friday my Blackberry was pretty much useless. I wasn’t on a data plan so I was surviving on text messages alone. I’ve had a Twitter account for some time now, but I never got into it because unless you have access to it via a mobile device it really isn’t worth the effort. Or at least, it never seemed to be worth the effort before getting it set up on the Blackberry.

So last Friday I finally upgraded my plan with AT&T to reflect unlimited data and e-mail use. I immediately went hunting for the applications I wanted, and within ten minutes I had Google Search, Google Maps (With GPS!), Facebook for Blackberry, and Twitterberry.

Thye main reason I downloaded Twitterberry is because I figured I would go ahead and grab it to mess around with it over the weekend. Little did I know I would become instantly addicted, and become a full on Twitter fan within three days.

That’s exactly what happened.

Now I’m hooked, and Twitter is completely down for the count. In fact, it’s been down for me for several hours now. Bummer, but it won’t stop me from building a good Twitter profile and using the social networking application to stay tuned in to what my friends are doing, as well as help them know what I’m up to.

Now that I’m Twittering my brains out, I’m starting to study up on the tools available and I’ve been reading some great articles on Twitter. Like, for example, how to get more Twitter followers and how to grow your Twitter presence.

I currently have a whopping 22 followers, so expect to see a few posts about Twitter as I embark on my journey to explore Twitter and build my Twitter profile.
