OK, so obviously I’m the new kid on the SEO blogger block… which means I’m going to have to hustle for some attention up front. I decided the best way, and also the old school way to get started is to throw up a contest and toss out some link love to those who I’ve been reading for some time now.
Unlike other contests of this nature, I’m not going to beg for you to subscribe to my feed, although that would be wonderfully delicious, but instead I’m just going to ask that you comment on this post.
This can’t be just any comment, though; Rather, I need a comment that lets me know what part of SEO you think is left out of the general “echo chamber” and what kind of SEO content you would like to see more of. This information will be a huge help for me as I gear up to start hitting heavy on the topic and I’ll make sure I try to cover your suggestions.
So what’s the prize?
Quite simple, really. in exactly one week from now (4:15 Central Time on Thursday, May 15th) I will ask a co-worker for a random number (the number has to be between one and the total number of comments) and that comment will get the ad.
The ad will fill the empty ad box to the right for six months starting on June 1st, 2008.
I’m going to throw out some link love to those who I’ve been reading for some time now, so hopefully (not likely) some of you that I link to will stop by and say hi.
With that being said… you in?

Always glad to see a new SEO blog…as far as what’s left out, I’d say most everything other than social media. It’s the fun part of SEO right now so it’s what everyone’s writing about.

Julie, I’m so glad to see you stop by!!!
Indeed, everyone is on social media right now. Which kind of makes sense because it is such a huge part of modern SEO. Good point, though, and something I’ll definitely take in to consideration.

I know how to get a website up and running, but I don’t know a lot about SEO yet since I focus on the programming side. I’d like to hear more about how to find the keywords being searched on the most.
Lennie, I’ll certainly give that some thought. Thanks for stopping by!
Hey Eric. Best of luck with the new site! Always glad to hear someone’s reading
Thanks,

Thanks for stopping by, Charlie!
Love the blog and I’ve been reading for some time now.
Hi Eric, thanks for the link! Seeing how this is the first blogroll (outside of people I know) I’ve made that I’m aware of, I’m not sure how much I have to offer in terms of advice for what your blog’s missing (if it’s even missing anything at all). I’ll add you to my reader and let you know if I have any suggestions. M first impression is good though man! Welcome to the war.
